About the ORION Awards

The ORION Awards recognize individuals and groups who have led and championed the use of advanced and collaborative technologies to support research, education, innovation and discovery here at home in Ontario or on the global stage.

By recognizing and showcasing success stories and profiles of individual achievement, the winners of the ORION Awards help inspire new ways of applying sophisticated technologies to transform the way we teach, learn, research or drive scientific discovery.

A panel of judges, with representation from ORION stakeholder communities, reviews submissions and selects winners.

The awards will be announced at a reception and ceremony on Monday, June 4, 2007 in the Atrium of the MaRS Discovery District during the 2007 Ontario R&E Summit.
