Tuesday, June 5th at 1 pm Session Chair, The CIO and the Researcher - Closing the Gap  Bob Gagne CIO and Executive Director, Computing and Network Services York University Bob Gagne joined York University in October 1999 and is the University’s first CIO. Reporting to the President, the CIO is responsible for leadership and strategy for the University on information technology matters with direct responsibility for York’s central computing services group, Computing and Network Services (CNS). In addition to his role at York, Bob is also currently serving as Chair of the Board of GTAnet Networking. Bob graduated from York with an MBA in 1981. Prior to his current position, he held a number of management and leadership positions including four years in planning and strategy development with a global financial institution, eight years as Director of Information Technology at a teaching and research hospital in Toronto, and three years as Director of Strategic Technology for a top Canadian internet portal. |
