Dr. Peter Pennefather

Dr. Peter Pennefather is the Academic Director of the Laboratory for Collaborative Diagnostics. Dr. Pennefather has been working in the field of collaborative science for 10 years. Recently this work has been focused on collaborative diagnostics. Dr. Pennefather's expertise is in the monitoring of sub-cellular signals using fluorescent microscopy and spectroscopy. He is now applying this expertise to the development of distributed collaborative diagnostic tools. Dr. Pennefather is a Professor at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto with cross-appointments in the departments of Physiology, Pharmacology and the Institute of Medical Sciences. In addition he is a founder of the Molecular Design and Information Technology (MDIT) centre which recently moved to the MaRS Toronto Medical Discovery Tower/UHN. Dr. Pennefather is on the advisory board for the Centre for the Study of Pain.
