Developed to support the unique requirements of Ontario's research and education institutions and organizations, the ORION Backup Storage Service allows users to leverage the full capabilities of the ORION network to address growing demand for backup storage of critical data.

The amount of digital content being created, shared and stored at Ontario research and education institutions is growing exponentially. Institutions face rising demand and increasing dependence by many areas and disciplines on digital data and their supporting services. Sourcing backup storage by leveraging their connectivity to the ORION network is one way that institutions can address this pressure.
