Eligibility & Fees

Research and education institutions throughout Ontario are able to enjoy the benefits of advanced networking and optical high-speed connectivity by linking their own infrastructure to the ORION network, through a direct connection to one of ORION's 22 PoP locations.

Eligibility

ORION user organizations include accredited universities and colleges; school boards/schools; publicly funded research organizations; research and teaching hospitals; government research institutes, agencies or funded entities; and, broader public sector bodies providing research and education services, applications and applications development.

ORION also welcomes private sector collaborators. They can connect to ORION to undertake joint research and or education projects or activities with ORION eligible organizations, or to test or showcase a new technology or service on the ORION network. They can also connect to provide applications or services solely to support and facilitate the research and or education activities of the ORION members.
