Contest Rules

Content

  • The minimum video length is 30 seconds and the maximum video length is two minutes.
  • Submissions must be original to this contest.
  • Must be in good taste and appropriate for public audiences.
  • May not infringe upon copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights.
  • Contestants must be willing to make minor adjustments if deemed necessary and as specified based on feedback from the judges.

Judges will be looking for innovation, creativity and compelling ideas and visuals.

Technical Requirements

  • Submissions may be submitted in WMV, AVI, MOV or other standard files formats.
  • Minimal credits are required at the end of the video, identifying the names of the students and affiliated institution.


Release

  • The authors/creators of the videos retain copyright to their productions. Permission is granted to ORION / ORANO for educational, non-commercial uses of these files, provided that each is identified as being a winning entry in the ORION FutureFlick Contest.

  • Submission of an entry signifies that the contestant has obtained any necessary rights and clearances and gives broadcast rights permission in regard to all audio and video elements of the production, including any non-original aspects.

    (In the event that a group is selected winner, contestants will agree on the distribution of the prize money).
