ORION Interactive Media Platform
ORION and the Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning held a successful workshop on Thursday, June 19, 2008, to explore launching an IPTV educational channel over ORION.
Thank you to all our participants, presenters and sponsors who showed such enthusiasm for this initiative and made the event such a success!
The collaborative IPTV channel would offer a platform for students, faculty and institutions to post live and on-demand content, including films, documentaries, animation, research, digital media, performance art, as well as lectures, student news or journalism programming.
As part of the process, we conducted a survey of Ontario’s colleges and universities to produce a snapshot of current activities and programs, to provide baseline information for a discussion paper that was used as background for the workshop.
