From Dryden to Hawaii in real time - Ontario school boards discover advanced networks
For students in Dryden, Ontario, over 1,700 kilometres northwest of Toronto, a field trip to Hawaii, and then on to nine more countries, all in one day, is not just a pipe dream. In fact, for Ontario students participating in the first event Internet2 Student Megaconference earlier this month, meeting up with other kids and teachers in countries around the globe was made possible because of connectivity over the new ORION network.
