Shape the future of collaboration

ORION wants to provide more than connectivity, but we need your help.

More importantly, we need your time and your ideas so we can do more to foster collaboration across Ontario. We need you to take that next step with us with your experiences as researchers.

The community has told us it can benefit from sharing knowledge and resources over ORION, and now we’re seeking input on what form such a resource could take and what it should it accomplish. We are establishing a working group and need five to seven volunteers in the research community to help us shape the vision of this new resource that will help researchers meet their objectives, whether it’s a directory of skills and knowledge, a platform to disseminate research or ORION’s unique take on social networking.

We will rely on the working group to provide the perspective of the typical researcher, what challenges they have seeking the information and support they require, how they currently go about finding it and how best this new service could help them in a manner that is natural and intuitive to them.

Just as important as your perspective is your time. There will be “homework” to be done as well as two to three on-site meetings in Toronto and several conference calls over the course of the next three months.

If you’re ready to make the commitment to help lead ORION to next level of collaboration, please contact Gary Hilson, Projects and Alliances Consultant, at gary.hilson@orion.on.ca
