CIOs, IT directors, network managers and other networking staff from throughout ORION's connected institutions will gather at the ORION Tech Workshop 09 on November 10 for an important update on the network and network services.

Taking place at the Faculty Club at the downtown University of Toronto campus, this event is an important opportunity for CIOs and IT specialists to network with colleagues and learn about ORION network upgrades planned for the near future and the value-added services of interest to IT departments being rolled out in the next few months.

ORION staff will cover some of these topics. Other presenters include one on the SciNet high-performance computing consortium at the U of T and another on interactive digital media and content distribution on campus.

The ORION Tech Workshop 09 presentations will be webcast to accommodate those unable to attend.
