University of Toronto
This page is a repository of ORION Tech Workshop 09 took place at the University of Toronto, on Nov. 10, 2009. The event gathered network specialists, technologists and other members of Ontario's research and education community
to learn about ORION's upcoming network upgrades and new value-added services. They also heard from the team supporting the new SciNet supercomputing facility at the University of Toronto, and about the
Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning's new Rich Media Strategy. They also participated in a roundtable discussion on new services and applications.
We wish to thank the University of Toronto and the UofT Faculty Club for hosting the workshop. We also thank GTANet for its support.

For the Video Stream: For Windows Vista and XP users, Windows Media Player must be installed. Internet Explorer is the preferred browser. Other browsers may have problems. Windows 7 has not been tested
as yet. For Mac OS X users, use Safari as the browser to access URL. Select the Real Media link on the browser interface. Mac users should install Real Player from www.real.com. Do not
use the Windows Media link as Microsoft does not support Windows Media in OS X. There is software called Flip4Mac which may work but we cannot guarantee success with it.
