Cyber security is a significant and growing concern for Ontario higher education institutions, as digital infrastructure expands into all areas of the sector. Our digitized and networked eco-system, which has only increased through the COVID-19 pandemic, contributes to more responsive and improved services, but also increases institutions’ vulnerability to cyber security incidents.
The Cyber Security Centre of Excellence is helping to address the cyber security challenges faced by the broader public sector with a seminar on cyber risk management in the higher education sector. The seminar is hosted by the Cyber Security Centre of Excellence at the Ontario government in partnership with ORION and Toronto Metropolitan University’s Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst.
Day Two: March 30, 2023 – 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Day Two of the seminar is intended for IT professionals who have operational responsibility for cyber security within your organization. This interactive session will include immersive exercises in small breakout rooms to reinforce learning, with topics that include cyber security best practices; the incident response lifecycle; and an immersive tabletop session.
