DESCRIPTION
This by-invitation-only Forum will accelerate researchers to solve big data, simulation, modelling and other massive computing challenges. The Forum is intended to generate creative partnerships and address industry challenges across a broad range of strategic sectors. 
DETAILS

The Forum is being held in support of the Smart Computing R&D Challenge, offered in partnership with SOSCIP and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) through  OCE’s Voucher for Industry Association R&D program funded by the Government of Ontario.

The Smart Computing R&D Challenge will provide a total of $7.5 million over two years, with $1.5 million from OCE, $3 million from NSERC and another $3 million from industry in cash and in kind. Individual projects can be up to two years in length, and receive up to $500,000 in cash and in-kind contributions. 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
  • Academic researchers associated with SOSCIP
  • Industry, including large companies and small- and-medium-sized enterprises that are already working with academic researchers at SOSCIP member institutions or are interested in forming a collaboration
