This year’s theme, Networking & Partnerships: The Core of Achieving Excellence in Education, focuses on collaborations toward an accessible, integrated and responsive education system.  Researchers, educators and policy makers will connect with the ministry’s priority goals through vignettes, workshops, research exhibits, and new innovative formats.


The symposium will focus on the broad partnerships and collaborations that are happening among educators, communities and government that are leading us into more research and evidence-based decision-making across the sector. Keynote speakers include Dr. Chris Brown of the London Centre for Leadership in Learning, University College London, who will talk about new approaches to knowledge mobilization in education.

Other guest speakers include: Dr. Santiago Rincon-Gallardo, Chief Research Officer, Michael Fullan Enterprises; Willa Black, Vice-President Corporate Affairs for Cisco Canada; George Couchie, creator and provider of Native Awareness Training Programs; Dr. Harry Stefanakis, a psychologist and trainer to organizations and professionals; and Dr. Chris Dede, Harvard professor and expert on emerging technologies for learning.
