ORION Announces Brad Gray as Director of Business Development and Strategic Alliances

(Toronto) — The Ontario Research and Innovation Optical Network (ORION) is delighted to welcome Brad Gray to the role of Director of Business Development and Strategic Alliances. Reporting to ORION’s President and CEO, Dr. Darin Graham, Brad will help direct and advance ORION’S customer engagement.

Brad brings diverse technology and customer relationship experience in both private and public sectors. Over his career of 15 years in information technology, Brad has focused on opportunities that simplify technology, reduce costs, and improve on business outcomes in many environments. Brad collaborated with multiple education, municipal, medical, research and other community stakeholders to build a cost-effective connectivity solutions, understanding and realising the business and technology goals.

“I’m excited to have Brad join ORION’s management team. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will build even stronger links within our communities and assist with ORION’s efforts to provide each user with the best service partner possible,” says Darin.

Prior to joining ORION, Brad was the Operations Manager for London and Region Global Network (LARG*net), and Information Systems Manager at Columbia Sportswear Canada Limited. He has experience collaborating with both public and private sector groups including E-Health Ontario, OTN, ORION, OMEDT, and others.

He is also an active member of the South Western Integrated Fibre Technology (SWIFT) steering committee and participates in IT focus groups at Fanshawe College. Brad received his Cisco and Microsoft certifications, leadership and marketing training from Western University, and holds a diploma in audio engineering.
