As a trusted partner in the research and education community, ORION takes a proactive role in enabling collaboration and progress. Thanks to our central role in connecting institutions and regions across the province, we’re in a unique position to advance the partnerships that empower our community to solve problems, cooperate on projects, and create value.

We build relationships and host informative events, ensuring that we’re in tune with Ontario’s researchers, educators, and innovators. Understanding their needs and desires allows us to effectively advocate on their behalf.

ORION is committed to engaging with our community and integrating community feedback in everything we do. This commitment drives ORION to focus heavily on community outreach and stakeholder relations. As a result, we participate in on-going Ontario government engagement and calls for consultations. We have created the ORION Rural Remote Broadband Advisory Group. Overall, we take a community focused approach to cybersecurity.

At ORION, we recognize there are many provincial and national cybersecurity initiatives underway, and we’re working together collaboratively. Our annual report on the state of cybersecurity in higher education represents input from many of our research, education, and innovation community partners as well as our constituents.
