2016 update: Company name has been changed to reflect current name
Toronto, September 4th, 2014 — IntelliGO Networks (formerly Spyders Inc.) announced today an exciting new partnership with the Ontario Research and Innovation Optical Network (ORION).
ORION is an Ontario-based company dedicated to connecting and supporting research, education and innovation (RE&I) customers through leadership and critical infrastructure. ORION boasts one of the fastest research and education networks in the world which enables users to be connected to a world of possibilities. When it was time to partner with a Mobile Enablement and Security provider, IntelliGO was chosen as one of the successful vendors based on the strength of their suite of products and services.
“We believe this will be a great partnership. Pairing ORION’s ultra-fast network with our advanced managed IT security services and mobile device enablement solutions means that ORION’s connected institutions can provide state of the art protection for some of Ontario’s most important assets. We are delighted to have the opportunity to add value and build a strong and long-lasting partnership with ORION and its community.” – Khaled Mansour, IntelliGO CEO.
“Many of the researchers, educators and innovators that ORION supports are increasingly concerned about the security and privacy of their work, so we wanted to take a proactive approach to help them,” says Darin Graham, ORION’s President and CEO.
“IntelliGO is one of Canada’s leading mobile and IT security providers. With half of their clients in the public sector, they understand how to address the unique security and privacy concerns faced by research and education institutions in Ontario,” Graham notes. “By partnering with IntelliGO, the institutions connected to our network can gain access to affordable, top-of-the-line security solutions that will allow them to focus on helping our communities instead of worrying about the safety of their data.”
This partnership could not be better timed. IntelliGO has recently launched IntelliGO 4.2, the latest release of IntelliGO’s mobile authentication and device management solution. IntelliGO will provide research and education organizations with the ability to simply and securely support a wide number of mobile devices including, smartphones, tablets, laptops, and Chromebooks. The product is already being used by major Canadian organisations and is currently being implemented in some of ORION’s connected RE&I institutions.
In addition to mobile, big concepts such as cloud, big data and the Internet of Things are quickly introducing major changes for IT departments, including security challenges that must be addressed. IntelliGO has been successfully supporting organisations across Ontario and Canada by delivering expertise and managed security services on the latest validated and relevant security solutions. IntelliGO recently established some of the first Canadian partnerships with Gartner-validated technology vendors such as Netskope, Bromium and Nutanix. IntelliGO’s experience and formal partnerships with these and several leading IT security vendors will help ORION’s connected RE&I community securely implement transformational IT concepts.
